Ask and it shall be given you

I picked up a lady about 700 south and 600 E. in Salt Lake City to take her to State Street to a pizza parlor where she worked. This was a quick trip and I felt immediately that I was to start saying the words the Lord put into my heart. As soon as she got in the car the spirit started talking to me. I felt the love from this woman for other people. I felt that she loved children and they loved her back. I felt that she really genuinely enjoyed and loved people. So rounding the first corner I just started saying, I have to tell you that right now I feel your love for other people. I told her that I felt like she was disappointed that other people didn’t feel that love. I told her that she loved children, and the children loved her that they came to her when they wouldn’t go to anyone else. In children she found tremendous joy.

I told her that I felt she was a little disappointed in the direction her life had taken because she wanted to use those gifts of love and that this bothers her. There was stunned silence. She hadn’t even said one word yet and I was saying the words that the Lord had put into my heart.

She said to me “how do you know this, are you an empath?” For those who don’t know what an empath is, it’s a fictional person popularized in Marvel comics X-men who can feel other peoples feelings and perceive their thoughts. I said no, there is only one real way to perceive peoples thoughts and emotions. It is through the gifts of the spirit given to a person from God. He gives us gifts of the spirit so that we can better serve him and help him show his love to his children.

I told her that when members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are baptized they get the gift of the Holy Ghost. With that gift comes access to these gifts of the spirit. I told her it is important to use these gifts of the spirit to bring men and women to Christ.

I told her that God had sent me to her today to give her a message that he still loved her, that he knew who she was and what she was going through. I told her that I felt by the power of the spirit that she should know that he wanted her to feel his love tonight!

She was shocked and reverently quiet. She told me that I didn’t know how many prayers I had just answered in the last five minutes. She said it changed everything. She said she had been raised in the church but had been inactive for 10 years. She said she rebelled and left the church when she was 18. She said she had just prayed to God this month to help her know what direction to go with regards to religion and how he could get her out of her terrible situation.

She had prayed that same day and asked God to let her know that he loved her and what to do, then she went outside and I showed up with that message. Everything I had said was right on and meant for her as an answer to her prayer.

She said that this settled it! As soon as she finished work she was going to go home and hit her knees and thank God for answering her prayers. She promised that she would be in church on Sunday for sure. I told her she should know how much God wants her back and I am glad he sent me.

She said that she didn’t want to go with her parents and that she wanted to do this quietly. I told her that she should go to the church right next to her house. She said “that’s good my parents live in Sandy!” I said perfect! She left the car astonished, happy and with a huge smile.

I have to try that pizza sometime.
