Living in Utah, you get used to the cultural assumption that everyone is already a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or already has been offered their opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the last 20 years I have embarked on a journey that has shown me that this is absolutely not true and that there is a lot of work for us to do. If we will walk with God and be willing to be his hands and his voice he will make us his instruments
The phrase “mission field” is many times used as an excuse to say that all of THOSE people that need to be taught or blessed by our testimonies are out there, somewhere else. If we look we will find that they are all around us and that the mission field is where you stand. We all need to do more lifting where we stand in this regard.
