Abraham has other children and they’re all Gods children

This young lady came in from Sacramento and I picked her up at the airport. She had been there to prepare for her brothers wedding. She had introduced her brother to his wife and the responsibility was weighing heavily on her shoulders. You could tell she loved her family but I started feeling about how she was an important, loving part of her family and the trust they had in her. I told her I felt like she was really organized and I started listening to the spirit and naming off these characteristics of hers as the spirit whispered them in my heart.

She said how do you know these things. We just met. The reality is that we weren’t even out of the airport area yet. We had a short ride and I knew I had to get to it.

Her name is a middle eastern name and I knew she was Muslim. I had never taught a Muslim before and I was a little apprehensive but I talked about baptism, the Holy Ghost and the gifts of the spirit. I told her that God puts people in my car. I told her that he wants us to be his hands and voice.

I told her about the Holy Ghost, that we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost after our baptism. I told her that it prompts us to know the things we should do and the things we should say. It can help us receive revelation for ourselves and to fulfill the callings God gives us and deal with the stresses and obstacles in our lives.

I told her that our religions have a lot in common. I said that we also believe in prophets. I told her that we have a prophet in the world today. I testified that he speaks with God and receive revelation for us. He leads God‘s church and guides us through these dark times.

I told her about how I lost my job due to covid and was feeling really bad. I told her that God got me this job and started giving me promptings of things to say so I could help people and tonight it was her.

As a Muslim, she believes in Christ as a prophet. I told her that the teachings of Jesus Christ help us be better people and the spirit of God that gives us promptings helps us follow his teachings.

I was prompted to tell her that she was having some challenges in her life and was being pulled away from what both of our religions believe as holy behavior. Right then I could hear in my mind the things that Satan was saying to her, whispering in her ears. I repeated these things out loud. I told that her what the devil is telling her is a lie and that he is a Liar. She said everything I was saying is so right on. She asked me how I could possibly know these things. I told her that it was the Holy Ghost whispering it to me and that I didn’t know but God knew.

I told her that she had been hurt and abused and that God was there for her and would always be there for her. I told her hat he loved her. I told her that many times we don’t learn about God as a loving father but that this is exactly who he is.

I talked about Jesus Christ and when he was on the earth he taught that we should serve others. I mentioned Elder Bednar’s Character of Christ talk and that we are to turn out in service to others. When Christ was abused he turned out in service to others, when he was wronged he turned out in service to others and Elder Bednar teaches us that we need to turn out in service to others to truly be happy.

I told her I could feel God‘s love for her. She said it was the strangest thing, she could feel that too. To her religion had always been ritual and a angry God. This was a new concept for her. This concept of a loving God who expects us be his hands and voice was overwhelming her with emotions that she had never felt. I told her that it was the Spirit of God and she said she knew that was true.

I didn’t know how to proceed because she’s Muslim and I asked if she had any Mormon friends. She said her best friend was a very active and devout Mormon. I asked her to call her friend and tell her about what we felt and what had happened in the car. I told her not to listen to Satan. I told her that she should trust in the spirit and follow where it leads.

She was crying and she said, I know God sent you to me tonight. I was so down and this has lifted my spirits. She said that she knew that God was here with us and that she will call her friend and ask her about the Holy Ghost. I’m hoping her friend will know the family dynamic and be able to navigate the situation. I’m sure her friend will be shocked but this is going to be cool.

She said that she believes that I lost my job so that I could be here tonight for her and to bless other people. She said it was a calling and I have to agree and am grateful for it.
